Here is a good question from one of our customers. "I purchased a packet of your short prairie mix at Effigy Mounds. I was wondering how do I prepare the seed bed? When can I plant? Is this time of year ok? Thanks for your help. Deb B"
Answer follows, "Deb, prepare your seedbed as you would a garden and eliminate all weeds through Oct. Plant the first of November through
December as a dormant seeding. Mix your seeds with 20 parts wet sand to one part seed. Divide into 4 lots and broadcast each lot over the entire area. Rain and snow should work your seed into the ground and seeds should start germinating through out the season next year. Thanks, Howard "Helping you create your own natural beauty." http://ping.fm/Snag5
